Join Blue Octopus Scuba for a week on the Truk Odyssey to see the ghost fleet of Truk Lagoon, the world’s best shipwreck destination. Chuuk, also known as Truk, is approximately 77 square miles and consists of seven major island groups lying within the Eastern Caroline Islands. Divers will explore famous wrecks and experience superb reef diving. There are numerous channels that cut through the reef which serve as hunting grounds for reef sharks and schooling pelagics which all add to the wonder of diving Truk. You’ll also see an abundance of incredible tropical fish, anemones, gorgonians and eagle rays.

On board the Odyssey, Truk’s finest liveaboard vessel, you’ll find amenities consistent with the world’s top liveaboards. The Odyssey is a 132’ air-conditioned live-aboard with spacious rooms, private ensuite facilities, 2 sundecks and a large entertainment lounge. Technical diving facilities include double tank systems, aluminum 30's for deco gasses & a fixed deco bar. Photography facilities include a large 3-tier camera table, 2 camera rinse tanks & a battery charging station.

Diving in Truk Lagoon is an adventure you will never forget. During WWII the Japanese fleet used Truk as one of their main staging points for attacks, but the American led "Operation Hailstorm" surprised the fleet resulting in the plethora of dive sites which we can see there today giving divers a closer look at history. The wrecks are covered with life. There are over 300 varieties of hard and soft corals. On the outer reef you'll find mountains of coral that stretch as far as the eye can see, and drops off into the abyss. Here it is not unusual to see pelagic sharks. The water temperature is 83 degrees, and visibility ranges from 30' to 100' and there is little current. You'll have the option to dive at your leisure, or dive with one of the experienced guides who will show you all those places you wouldn't find on your own. With small groups of only 16 guests, you’ll make friends quickly and forever. Don't wait, reserve your spot today!
