The PADI ReActivate / Scuba Tune-Up reminds you of the fundamental skills you learned in your Open Water Diver class, including Safe Diving Practices, Dive Planning Fundamentals, Problem Management, Breathing Air at Depth, Dive Computers and Dive Tables, Planning Dives with the RDP, Diving with Enriched Air Nitrox and an in-water Diving Skills Review at a local pool.
The course benefits any certified diver who wants to refresh their dive knowledge. The program is designed for certified divers who wish to return to scuba diving after a period of inactivity, however, it is a great resource for any diver to brush up, test new gear, and familiarize themselves with diving.
PADI divers should register for PADI ReActivate. Upon registering for for ReActivate Blue Octopus Scuba will provide the PADI student with an online course code for ReActivate Touch (for tablets or mobile devices but can also run on a PC). The app tailors itself to your knowledge, going into more detail on topics for which you need more thorough review. Upon completion of the online knowledge review go diving with a PADI professional for an in-water review. Upon completion of both the online and in-water refreshers PADI students will be issued a replacement certification card with their new ReActivated date.
Non-PADI divers should select SCUBA Tune-Up. This is an in-person review of the fundamental skills followed by an in-water review again with a SCUBA professsional.
To participate in the practical (in-water) portions of the program, you need to be a certified diver, at least 10 years old, and fit for diving.
